SEATED RUTANDA
ARE YOU FEELING STRESSED, OVERWHELMED, OR DISCONNECTED?
ARE YOU STRUGGLING WITH PAIN THAT SEEMS TO DEFY EXPLANATION?
WHAT IF YOU COULD RELEASE WHAT NO LONGER SERVES YOU, QUIET YOUR MIND, AND REDISCOVER A SENSE OF WHOLENESS TO ELEVATE YOUR WELL-BEING?
Seated Rutanda is your invitation to do just that—a path of renewal that deepens your connection with yourself and the world around you. The word “Rutanda” means to purify within and unify with all that surrounds you, reflecting its essence as more than just a method—it’s a journey that awakens the beauty and strength already within you.
Rutanda is practiced through short, guided meditations to enhance mindfulness, followed by poses imbued with idealized meaning. These poses are linked together with movement, expressing stages of life. By physically “acting out” your life story, you cultivate awareness and allow for the release of stuck emotions, leaving you feeling refreshed and renewed. Through explanations of Japanese indigenous thought, your practice becomes spiritually enlivened, deepening your understanding of its transformative power.
A complete cycle of Seated Rutanda takes about 14 minutes to move through two sets of movements; however, it is practiced step by step in a thoughtful manner over time—much like tai chi or qi gong. In the first introductory eight-week course, you’ll engage with a foundational three-step meditation, five sequences of movements, and fundamental philosophy, setting you firmly on the path to integrating this enriching, transformational practice into your life. Whether you’re new to mindful movement or seeking a deeper practice, Rutanda meets you where you are – whether you’re seated in a chair or wheelchair, or on the floor, offering alternative poses and movements to suit your unique needs.
We’ll help you realign with your essence and experience well-being on every level—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

Physical Vitality
When was the last time you truly enjoyed moving your body? Whether you’re active or haven’t moved in a while, Seated Rutanda gently guides you into motion by embodying life stages. You might even forget you’re stretching, toning, and strengthening as you feel energy flow through your body. With every session, you’ll notice your vitality grow and your connection to your physical self deepen.

Mental Clarity
Imagine movements that not only engage your body but sharpen your mind. Similar to tai chi, Rutanda’s set sequences stimulate your brain to remember patterns, strengthening brain-body coordination. The life stories woven into Rutanda add a layer of meaning, making each session a rich, engaging experience that enhances focus and mental sharpness.

Emotional Freedom
As your body moves and your mind engages, you may begin to notice emotions rising to the surface. Rutanda gently reveals and releases emotional blocks stored within you, freeing you to experience a new lightness of being. By integrating occasional modern neurological techniques, it offers a compassionate path toward emotional liberation and satisfying peace.

Spiritual Connection
Have you ever longed for a simple practice that connects you to something greater without conflicting with your beliefs? Rutanda is not dogmatic, making it compatible with nearly any belief system. Through its simple, three-step meditation, you can let go of conditioned patterns, deepen your intuition, and express gratitude. Over time, this practice helps you feel anchored, refreshed, and aligned—living each day with greater harmony and intention.
